Welcome to the new Modern Languages TY Blog, designed to showcase pupils’ work, provide fun quizzes and interesting gobbits of information.
Today is European Languages Day and at St
Columba’s College, we are celebrating this event in various ways. The first
form will be going on a word treasure hunt in Spanish, French and Polish
(Ireland’s second language!) around the College. The 4th form will
be teaching some of the various languages spoken here through French; these
include Mandarin, Basque and German (see Polish language sheet below). The 5th
form will have a quiz, part of which entails sorting out the 20 languages in
which Au Revoir is written. In
addition, all lunch menus are posted in French, Spanish, Polish and Irish.
